Menopause-related symptoms may make it difficult for some women to stay asleep, while postpartum responsibilities can fragment sleep dramatically. Perhaps the most important lesson is that women should not assume every new spinal symptom is simply a consequence of getting older or experiencing hormonal changes. Aging and hormonal transitions are normal, but persistent symptoms deserve attention. At the same time, women should not be surprised if their physical experiences change as their physiology changes.
